Friends of the Environment is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve the environment of Abaco, The Bahamas through education, conservation, and research.

Why Sea Biscuit loves Friends of the Environment:  

Friends of the Environment is based in Marsh Harbour and they are working towards a sustainable future for Abaco's wildlife and people.  Through school programs, after-school clubs, community events and summer camps they help people understand and work to protect Abaco's beautiful environment. Friends of the Environment coordinates habitat restoration projects such as Mangrove Forest Restoration and Coral Nurseries with community members and scientists.  They partner with researchers and have designed their campus to be sustainable, collecting their own rain water and solar power.
